Development Team Biographies

Brent Johnson, Chief Manager

Brent Johnson is co-owner of Traditions Management and has established successful entrepreneurial ventures in a number of fields. He has been a real estate broker and developer, and formed and operated successful companies in transportation, media, hospitality, legal services, and health services. He successfully developed the original Traditions sites. He oversees all aspects of operations and directly supervises financing and efficient cost supervision for each Traditions facility. He is on the Board of Governors for each Traditions facility and actively manages each development. He is a native of northeast Iowa, where he attended Luther College. He has developed, and has plans to develop, several Traditions sites.

Lawrence R. Gensmer, President

Larry Gensmer is co-owner of Traditions Management, bringing his entrepreneurial, construction, and land-development experience to the company. Mr. Gensmer has developed thousands of residential units, primarily in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, and hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space. In addition, Mr. Gensmer has founded and operated successful businesses in transportation, health services, hospitality, and personal care. Mr. Gensmer personally oversees all operations for Traditions Management, and is the primary coordinator of construction services. He is on the Board of Governors at several existing Traditions facilities and actively supervises cost efficiency.
